From I-10
From the north, take the Santa Rosa Exit and turn east on Dolorosa St. (towards downtown).

From the south, exit Durango and turn north (left) on Santa Rosa and east on Dolorosa St.

Stay on Dolorosa Street. This street becomes Market Street.

Turn left on Navarro Street.

The San Antonio Children's Museum is located near the corner of Houston St. and Navarro Street. Walgreen's Drug Store faces the museum.

Van And Car Parking

The museum provides one hour of free parking at the Houston Street Garage at College & Navarro, at Riverbend Garage at Commerce @ Presa and Market, and the St. Mary’s Garage at St. Mary’s and Travis. Parking ticket must be validated at the museum. The number of parking spaces available for Children's Museum guests is limited.

AMPCO System parking lot is located at the corner of Jefferson and E. Houston Street and is one block east of the Museum. Parking is limited (approximately 35 vehicles). St. Mark's Parking Lot is located at the corner of Pecan and Jefferson streets two blocks north and one block east of the museum.

Parking meters are available on a first come basis at Travis Park, one block north of the Children's Museum. Maximum parking is for 2 hours and the charge is $.25 per 15 minutes. Parking is strictly enforced.

Bus Parking
All buses must unload students in the public bus lane on Navarro Street just north of E. Houston Street. Buses that unload on Houston Street will be ticketed. When returning to pick up students, buses can load students in the same bus lane on Navarro Street.

After unloading, buses can park under highway 37/281 at Houston Street. This is approximately 8 blocks from the Children's Museum. Drivers usually remain with the bus.

Buses may also park on the south side of the Municipal Auditorium located 2 blocks north of the San Antonio Children's Museum. Drivers are requested to park on the south side of the street and are required to remain with their bus as they may be asked to move.

Out-of-town visitors may park their buses at the Travis Park parking meters located one block north of the San Antonio Children's Museum. The cost is $7.00 for buses occupying a single space and $14.00 for larger buses occupying two spaces. Arrangements need to be made in advance on a first-come basis with Frank Juarez of the Traffic Division at (210) 207-7755.

Trolley / Street Car System
If you are already downtown, take the RED LINE trolley to the corner of Houston & Navarro. You can also park at the Ellis Alley Park & Ride located at St. Paul Square and ride the RED Trolley Line to the museum. Click Here to view VIA Street Car information.

Bus Routes
From the North, take the VIA Bus Route #4 to St. Mary's and Travis. Walk one block south and 2 blocks east to the museum entrance at Navarro and Houston. Click here for Bus Route #4 schedule and map.

From the south, take VIA Bus Route #51 to Navarro and Crockett and walk two blocks north to the museum entrance at Navarro and Houston. Or, get off at Navarro and Travis and walk one block south to the museum entrance at Navarro and Houston. Click here for Bus Route #51 schedule and map.
